What happened to the MorningSong.org website?
The “www.morningsong.org” web site, as you know it, has temporarily gone off-line. Each of our label artists, whose web sites were found at morningsong.org, are managing their own websites using their own domain names. Morning Song will soon have a new website to announce our new name and restructuring as “The Morning Song Music Group“. It will not be a web site for individual artists, but rather a ‘hub’ site for all things related to Morning Song. For instance we will feature our label artists on the Morning Song record label with links to their ministry web sites, our booking agency, tour promotion company, cruise promotion company, our cd replication company, online music store, internet radio station and more. Stay tuned!
What is Morning Song?
Our corporate name and logo will be associated with all Morning Song Music Group companies.
Steve Darmody began a concert and recording ministry in 1979 with the recording of his first Nashville CD called, Shall We Learn To Be Friends. In 1982 the name, Morning Song, and the logo was adopted and and a greater vision began for a ministry that has now evolved to be known as the Morning Song Music Group. As we approach three decades of ministry, the name Morning Song is now many things: a record label; a booking agency; a tour and concert series coordinator; an on-line CD store; and a Christian cruise and travel promotion agency.
In the recent decade the name Morning Song was largely seen as an umbrella name that represented Steve’s management of a ‘coop’ that included Steve and several other new inspirational artists. This allowed Steve the privilege to mentor, train, counsel, manage and aid these artist in developing their own personal independent ministries. As time passed, each artist grew into equally successful independent ministries. These artists – Vonda Beerman, Jennifer LaMountain and Rudy Micelli – have gone on to establish successful international ministries. While Morning Song, as a coop, is no more, we all, as friends and artists on the Morning Song label, continue to work as a family, helping each other, touring together and much more.
The newly restructured “Morning Song Music Group” continues to serve our label artists (the former coop members) as well as many other artists through our eStore sales services, or booking agency, our cruise company, our CD fabrication company, our graphic design company and more. Many of the same relationship and activities are still in place but in an enlarged form to include other artists. We still work in ‘family groupings’ in shared ministry activities that included recording under the Morning Song label, touring with Morning Song Concerts, investing in mutual advertising and marketing projects and so on.
While Morning Song has come to represent many others music ministry related companies, we are best known for representing our ‘coop’ of like-minded independent ministries. Each artist that has worked with Steve, has contributed significantly to the grown of what is now the Morning Song Music Group. We could not be more appreciative of their contribution to the growth of Morning Song.
Morning Song, Inc is a non-profit corporation managed by Steve Darmody as his personal concert ministry’s organizational name.
Morning Song, Inc. has several sub-ministries such as Morning Song Concerts and Booking, Morning Song Friendship Evangelism Concert Series, and the Morning Song National Christmas Tour.
Morning Song Distributing, Inc. is a for-profit company owned by Steve Darmody. It is the parent corporation for the Morning Song eStore, Horizon Travel, and Ariel-Media Group.
The Morning Song eStore helps hundreds of artists find customers for their ministry and product sales online. Morning Song Distributing distributes our label artists’ CDs to retail and ministry outlets worldwide. Horizon Travel is a PR and marketing firm for Christian Cruises and Travel. It’s current project is a cruise for the Morning Song eStore called the eStore Music Cruise. Ariel-Media Group is a custom design, print and CD replication company offering the lowest prices in CD replication for our estore artists.
